Vancouver Giants blank Kamloops Blazers to tie for lead in B.C. Division

Tristen Nielsen registered a hat-trick for the Vancouver Giants in a 4-0 victory over the Kamloops Blazers on Sunday at Sandman Centre.

Giants’ netminder Trent Miner posted his fourth shutout in seven games this season, making 27 saves to blank the Blazers.

Eric Florchuk had three assists.

Dylan Garand backstopped the Blazers, allowing four goals on 32 shots in a losing effort.

B.C. Division standings: Kamloops (7-2-0-0), Vancouver (7-3-0-0), Prince George (4-4-1-1), Kelowna (2-1-0-0) and Victoria (1-8-1-0).

Kelowna and Kamloops will square off on Tuesday, a 7 p.m. start at Sandman Centre.
