Two lopsided post-season defeats have ended the Kamloops NorthPaws’ inaugural West Coast League baseball campaign.

The hometown Wenatchee AppleSox throttled Kamloops 17-2 on Wednesday to sweep the best-of-three North Division Divisional Series 2-0.

Wenatchee downed Kamloops 12-1 on Tuesday at Norbrock Stadium in Game 1.

The league’s four Divisional Series will be followed by one-game semifinals in both divisions that will precede the WCL Championship Game.

Bellingham swept Victoria in the other North Division quarter-final series.

In the South Division, Corvallis and Yakima Valley are tied at 1-1 and Ridgefield swept Portland 2-0.

The 2022 season was split into halves of 27 scheduled games for each of the league’s 16 teams.

The four playoff teams from each division are the first- and second-half winners, along with the two teams with the best overall records that did not win either half.
