The WCL is a collegiate wood-bat league featuring amateur talent and aspiring professionals, with teams in Oregon, Washington state and B.C.

Players from top NCAA conferences, such as the Pac-12, help populate the summer circuit.

Kamloops has long been rumoured to be an option for a franchise location in the league, which has a lengthy list of MLB alumni.
