Jason White of Sun Peaks will return to racing this month, with three events scheduled to take place at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla.
He will drive his Reaume Brothers Racing No. 33 Powder Ventures/YourGMCtruckstore.com rig in two Camping World Truck Series races — on Feb. 12 in the season opener on the oval track and on Feb. 19 on the road course.
Last year, White placed 10th in a Gander RV and Outdoor Truck Series event, the Nextera Energy 250, which took place on Valentine’s Day in Daytona.
He considers it the top finish of his career to date.
“Understanding how the aerodynamics work, how to use the draft, having a base of knowledge now I feel really good about our chances,” White said in a press release.
White will compete in an ARCA series event on Feb. 13.
“The No. 10 Powder Ventures/YourGMCTruckstore.com ARCA car is a brand-new superspeedway car that Andy Hillenburg and his group built during the off-season,” White said. “They’ve taken all that they’ve learned and applied it to this new car and we’re pretty anxious to get out on track to see what we can do.”
White placed sixth last February in the Lucas Oil 200 Driven By General Tire, driving a Chevrolet Camaro for the ARCA event in Daytona Beach.
